Google lists my site as a .php in the search results, 404 not found!?
Okay so I have a small business & I do what I can as far as managing the website goes. Our host is godaddy and unfortunately we are using website tonight. Okay, so recently Ive been doing a lot of SEO research and I am trying to get higher rankings on google. So far I am bottom of the 1st / second page and I am proud of that, except, google has my site listed : www.PumpDoctorllc.com/Home.php and when you click the link you go to a 404 not found page! The correct link would be /Home.html.

If you go to the /Home.php link through a cached page, you can see its different than my homepage. Why is google picking that up? How can I change it so its right and people dont get the 404 page when clicking the link through google?

Example..

In google search for “well pump service independence township nj”. We are the first result on the organic section, you can see google has it as a .php . I do not believe I ever had it saved as a .php

How can I change this without it sending my rankings to the pooper?

I do have webmaster & as of yesterday I have my sitemap on as daily.. I have been tweaking it daily, no major changes though.

I will change that to something more realistic though. Weekly sounds good for now.

But about the .php, I do not ever think I made a .php as my home page. I am not even sure if that is an option for website tonight.. My guestbook is a .php but I assume thats only because its a guestbook.
