Starting a new company – exactly how much patience is reasonable ?
5 months ago I started my own (internet) company. Business takes off incredibly slow.
I am subscribed to just about any marketing newsletter, course, SEO courses, you name it, you can think of, and monitor all from dust till dawn.
One of the rules that keeps coming back is that you need to have patience and perseverance, and more patience and perseverance.
Sometimes I am on the verge of giving it up. Being new, the astounding slowness to climb up the search engines, there is just no money coming in.
Up to when are patience and perseverance still reasonable ?
I work day and night.
Any insight on this anyone ?

Has anyone here used “Scrub The Web” for SEO? Or is there a BETTER company?
I’m seriously thinking about signing up with Scrub the Web dot com for some SEO tips and they also state they can do lots of things. Here is one that fascinates me (a line from their site):
“(X)HTML Validator™ and Correction Tool – make your Web pages error free! The first SEO inspired (X)HTML validation tool on the Internet. This tool will make each attempt possible to correct (X)HTML errors in your Web page’s (X)HTML source that can affect your search engine visibility.”
I do not know much about .html, unfortunately, and my tiny do-it-yourself website has some errors in my source code, apparently…at least according to this free scan I ran on my site. It states I have 31 errors in my site! So I am thinking OMG! You can see them here:

Could anyone that knows what they are doing at least tell me if this is something I need to WORRY ABOUT? Everything seems to “look okay” to ME on my site… and I know for sure all the links on it are good. But are these other things listed there bad enough that you think I should do something about them? Could they themselves be hindering my ranking?

I was told that each page should site the most valued keywords which are:
Los Angeles security guards
security guards los angeles
security los angeles
security company los angeles etc..
obviously, I cannot (in an artful way) cite all of this these in the home page text—it’s awkward…but can I place them in black on the side of the home page where there is black color or I could put them in dark brown—in other words, they will not show up…Is that unethical or will it be seen as an unsavory tactic (by Google) or is it perfectly acceptable, even smart?

Is it superior to apply for a job I want now or wait to apply until I learn more about the company and industry?
OK, so I have been searching for a job forever and finally found one that I am really interested in. The thing is is that in the “ideal candidates” description it states they will have some knowledge of HTML code, capability to call web services through and API, and have deep knowledge of SEO, inbound marketing, and social media. I know a tiny about some of these things but not very much, Should I take a month to learn them fairly well and then apply or should I apply now and hope for the best? I do not want someone else to get the job but the company is growing very fast and I think there will be other opportunities soon. Thanks for reading! Hope you have some good advice.

..have a website for each business? Right now we have only one website to promote 7 different businesses (all owned by the same person but in different locations).
